Island Coffee Quality Assurance Program
Island Coffee’s objective is
to deliver a great cup of coffee to the customer every
day. This Quality Assurance Program is designed to help
the retailer achieve this goal. Great coffee starts
with great beans. However, a lot more goes into this
program than the highest quality coffees.
Coffee is the most profitable item in your store.
A well-run coffee program increases your coffee sales
and increases the foot traffic into the store.
Every detail is crucial to the success of your Island
Coffee program. It is suggested that Island
Coffee customers adhere to the following procedures
in order to assure the best quality results for your
customers.
1) Brew fresh coffee every 30 minutes and refresh AIRPOTS
every 2 hours.
2) Use only Island Coffee products
(Using other coffee will not assure the consistency
that Island Coffee customers expect. This is vital to
the success of this program.)
3) Check grinds in the filter (either too coarse or
too fine will change the taste.)
4) Discard old coffee. DO NOT mix pots as this will
change the taste.
5) NEVER grind coffee in advance and stack in filters
(This lets the flavor escape immediately and really
does not save that much time.)
6) Keep the coffee area clean and organized:
- No spills or trash on the counter
- Clean spray head area and warmers after the morning
rush and again before closing.
- Wipe out bean hopper on the coffee grinder when
it is empty.
- Rinse coffee pots, AIRPOTS and filter holder with
HOT water, after each use and clean with pot cleaner
every night.
- Wipe down the exterior of all the machines with a damp
cloth whenever they are soiled.
- Remove and clean whipping chambers and attached pieces
from cappuccino machine every night before closing.
We will have a representative inspect the equipment
and accompanying point of purchase materials, 1 week
after initial set-up and again on a regular basis. He
will clean, fix or have replaced, any items that
do not meet our high quality standards. If there is
